im not sure if the idea of a photo thread was shot down, or simply forgotten so i will throw one out, and maybe the thread will take off, cuz i liked the idea.
Sometimes I wonder about the photos that I edit on my lap top that is plugged in. Just the angle on the screen can make a huge difference on how dark/light the image appears.
Check out this guide to clouds from the New York Times- I took the same shot of Rainier, same day, the formation is the same, the angle different and posted it on this site. They got a much better shot:

Both Bonefish pictures were taken without flash. The difference in ambient light makes the fish seem to be completely different colors. Any tips on brightening up shots without flash?
