Thinking of going to crawfish lake tomorrow... Since I have never been there, does this place get hammered on the opener?

    Fish till ya drop.
    Then suck it up
    and fish the evening hatch.

If you're talking about Crawfish Lake in the Omak area.....No it doesen't get hammered at any time. But beware, it's cold water this time of year and the fishing is chancy for very small brooks and a few bows. Not the greatest lake in the world since the Crawfish got a disease and died off years back. I don't go there anymore it's such a small fish lake.

I'm not fishin during the opener cause I fished all last week. But if I were, I'd concentrate on either the year around lakes or the winter only lakes that open to C&R flyfishing only after April 1. You can be alone on some of those. Oh and another good bet is some of the hike in lakes in the basin and elsewhere.
