Custom Knife Projects

  1. I make custom knives as a hobby and thought I would share some of my recent works with all of you. All my knives start as raw bars of cutlery grade steel, bars of 416 stainless or brass for guards and bolsters, blocks of stabilized wood for handles and shoulders of leather for sheaths. Lots of hours later I have a finished project. Hope you all enjoy and thanks for looking.

9" Length, 5/32" Elmax, 62 RC, Mirror Finish, Tapered Full Tang w/ File Work
416SS Dovetailed Bolsters w/ stainless & Red Liner spacer
Stabilized African Snakewood Handle Scales with 3/32" & 1/8" SS Pins
    Hand Carved Pocket Style Sheath

  2. I like a nice looking knife.

  7. Damned, that's beautiful work. I know my uncle made me a hunting knife years ago. I gave him part of one of my antlers and he made the handle with it. He worked for Mahnke Lumber, and used one of the old sawblades for the blade. Turned out nice for his first try and only try. But not nearly anything like that.
  8. I do sell them but I don't make many a year. I do it in my spare time and each piece is a unique design, that is what keeps me interested. My lead time is usually about 3 months. You can PM me if you are interested in further details or questions. Thanks for the compliments. I'll post another I recently finished.
