I am heading over to the inlaws for turkey day and they just happen to live on the dungeness river in Sequim. I was wondering if there was any reason to take my fly rod with me. I haven't checked the regs yet to see if it is open. Assuming it is open, does any one have any ideas?

Yes, the Dungeness is open from October 16th through the end of February. It provided some good steelheading back in the 'seventies and 'eighties when I used to fish it with my father. Of course, many rivers were producing far better then than they are now. What the heck, you're going to be there and you've got to work off that turkey somehow. It sure beats watching football games.
