Very cool. I live over in eureka and make it to the trinity a d lewiston lake whenever I can. I also hit hat creek, the lower sac, the pit, and manzanita lake. I haven't made it over to the upper sac yet, I really want to. Did you hook into any browns running up from Shasta lake?

The upper sac and mccloud are great rivers with some beautiful trout......it's been to many years since I last fished them, something I need to correct in the near future.

Tony, great photos and a nice blog! Who made the bamboo rod you were using?

    Thanks for sharing,

thanks! the Bamboo rod i was using i just finished making, its a Paul young taper that ive wanted to make for a while and finaly got around to getting it in the que. It really feels great to dry fly with and the parabolic action really handled large fish beter than i thought.
As for browns on the upper sac theres never been any seen or caught that i know of. however they do run up the Mcload to spawn in the fall.
