I found a couple of good spots that don't require a boat. The action was slow. I caught a couple of 8" trout, and the trout were actually going crazy at dusk but no steelhead. The only big fish that I saw was a spawned out Chinook. We caught a lot of Busch and Coors trout, maybe a few too many...couldn't wake up for Sunday morning. Anyway the river was pretty clear. If you have a Spey rod bring it, the Hoh reservation has some pretty could water on their side and I think that a Spey could do some damage.

Where exactly were you fishing? Cottonwood area?

If the fish were active at night, did you catch any of them or just watch?!?!??

    Thanks for the report!
