I went to outdoor emporium and one of the ladies there said that kids are required to have a license, but it's free. I looked online here:
    https://fishhunt.dfw.wa.gov/wdfw/licenses.html

And it doesn't that's true, can anyone clarify? Do 4 year olds need a fish license?

    TIA

Page 6 of the WDFW regulation pamphlet:

    "Frequently Asked Questions:
Who needs a fishing license? Everyone age 15 and up. You do not need a license if you are fishing for common carp, crawfish, bullfrogs, smelt, or to collect relic shells."

Maybe she was thinking about the catch record card.
