This next week I will be heading towards Aberdeen (from Tacoma) and would like to hit some spots along the way. I have been searching throughout the morning for a great destination but I havent had much luck. Are there any good streams out that way? (I have a 5 weight rod, no boat)Any suggestions?

Anyone fish Elk Creek by Pe Ell?

Thanks in advance

Those are all good recommendations. But, beware. Some have a good run of summerruns in there. Beat the crap out of my 8wt a week or so ago on my "test my shoulder trip". Had my sage buckled over. So, beware. :D

I would agree with o clarki and steelheader, except to point out that the Humptulips is beyond Aberdeen, past Hoquiam, and the Johns is about 10 miles beyond Aberdeen toward Westport and is much smaller than the others (once you get above tidewater). The good spots there are harder to find.

Good Luck!
