are fluorocarbon leaders and tippets much better, and will you catch more fish, or are they just way over priced. thanks

I have been using FC all year and caught a lot of big fish. Is it better? I really don't know but I have not had the problems with LDR's (with flies) as I did last year using mono. Also, I had heard of knot problems but I haven't had any knots come undone, I use the Orvis knot.

As I recall, the FC is does not float as well as mono, so if you use dries, use mono.

I like FC also, I seem to catch more and larger fish, but it also seems to be a lot weaker than mono when you get below 6 pound test.

Well you guys just answered any questions that I was thinking about asking about FC tippets. I was going to buy some to try but I couldn't get by the price. I think I will just stay with what I find best. Mono. Jim S.:TT
