Identification needed

    Can anyone identify this insect. Stomach contents of local lake cutthroat full of these. Friend asked me if I knew what it was. I thought a flying ant???

    There was a huge hatch of those cinnamon colored ants this weekend. I realized they were mating when I snatched one from the air and saw a much smaller black ant stuck to it. Suddenly the explosive rises among the midge sippers made sense, and after a quick fly change the trout didn't seem so picky anymore.
