Are there any silvers moving through the Kayak Point area yet this year? Last year the fish were in about 3 three weeks ago.

Yes. Ha Ha. I fished Kayak Point yesterday (10/1), and there were lots of fish present, but they all had lockjaw. The only people landing fish did so by mostly accidentally and "accidentally" snagging. :SAD

What worked for me was moving water (9 foot change I believe on saturday morning)and very little fly movement. I let the tide swing the fly, and just twitched a 2 to 2.5 inch unweighted olive over smoke ultra-hair fly. I was fishing bigger and faster, but then a baitfish went cruising by extremely slowly. If he was two inches, I'd have been surprised... Keep your eyes open folks!
