Guys, I have built a few rods over the years but have always ordered supplies from random companies. Are there any local suppliers of rod building materials?

I have a couple of vintage glass rods with no guides I would like to put back in action and I think it would be nice to see the guides before I bought them.

Patrick's has a small but serviceable rod building section too

Anglers Workshop, Utmost Enterprise and Greg's Custom Tackle (?) are on the west side.

Shoff's, a long-time shop in Kent, is still in business as a mail order rod building supplier. Very knowledgable & reliable folks.

I'll second/third Greg's, but that is a haul from Gig Harbor.

I can't say enough about Anglers Workshop and Shoff's; both great to deal with. But I would call Mike at Snake Guides. I went through him for all of my components for my last build and his guides are great to work with and great looking. He is in Battle Ground, but maybe you can talk him into sending you something to evaluate.
