Brilliant sunshine, an extreme low tide, and not even a whisper of a breeze makes for a dull day.

Thats how the water has looked the last 3 times I've been out, brutal.... and needless to say, fishless. Tides are awesome this weekend anyway.

Lots of chum fry around last few days I have been out but not a lot of cutts. Little ripples/vees are schools of chum fry.
Fry getting larger, too. Observed 2 1/2+ inchers yesterday DSC01224.JPG DSC01227.JPG

Got out onto a few beaches in the south sound this morning. Lots of smolt, big red crabs, and star fish. Saw the less than occasional 8-12" jumper every 30 min, and brought 6 or so 4-6" tiny SRC's to hand. No big fish looking at my patterns or anyone else's out there as far as I could tell. Otherwise a beautiful day.

Nice work! Action is action and small fish are OK with me, it means I am doing something right! Keep at it and have fun!
