  3. Sorry about your loss of Briddie. Dogs are such "buddies" who give unconditioal to owners. It is heartbreaking to lose them as they are like family members.
Briddie looks like she could have been a border collie. We have a male of that breed and he is so smart and loyal.

  4. 14 year old border collie. Her poor old body just finally gave out. She was watching our horses right up to the end...it was her job.

  5. Bitterroot,

There are no words that can ease your suffering right now. However, I would like to think that your friend is still watching over you and your horses, and waiting for you. I strongly believe that.

  6. I am sincerely saddened at your loss of a member of your family...a companion pure of heart. Good dogs are all alike, yet each one entirely different. You gave her a great life, and she left you so many warm memories.

  9. Lonnie,

Sorry for your loss. It's difficult to lose a good friend and companion. I've been through it twice now, and I'm not afraid to say it brought me to tears both times. She will be awaiting your reunion.

  18. Lonnie, first I would like to apologize for not responding before. I've opened this thread half a dozen times. Just can't seem to find the words. As you know Tami and I don't have kids so our dogs fill those places in our hearts. I'm not saying it's the same as losing a child but, damn it hurts. Every time I see one of these threads I get choked up thinking of Digger, Roxie and the others that have graced our lives with their company.

    Sorry for your loss.

PS. A new puppy can't heal your loss but, they can lick the wound.
