I am going over to Sandpoint with the family and hope to get a day of fishing in. Any suggestions? I am willing to walk and wade and drive up to a couple hours. The St.Joe is too far. Thanks in advance.

The St. Joe would be a long drive from Sandpoint. I would contact the guys at Big R in Sandpoint, they will be able to point you in the right direction.

Your coming from Bellevue. Whats a couple of more hours driving to have fun fishing. Go hit the St Joe. It's within your two hours of driving time. It's only about 80 miles from where you are going to be.

Hope I'm not too late. Check with the Big R Fly shop in Sandpoint for some closer waters. Wouldn't try the
Joe unless you want to piss the family off! Way more than 2 hours each way plus fishing time.

The lower Priest River has some good fun water to fish. Use Google Earth to scout it for fishy spots and access.
