I am wondering if there is anyone in the Des Moines, Burien, Seatac area that would want to share a ride and gas up to the occupy skagit?

    I'm riding with a buddy.

But my guess would be that if you are able to get up to Seattle, you might be able to find a ride. Or if you're driving, maybe someone in Seattle would be willing to get picked up?

    Just some thoughts.

If you're heading up, think about having breakfast or definitely a beer and burger afterwards up there. The businesses would like to see a spring season as well.

Planning to drive up Friday evening. Was thinking of tent camping at HM park, but the weather forecast has me thinking of using a motel, probably Sedro. Then breakfast at Lyman Cafe. Shall we hit the Marblemount joint for burgers at lunch?

I'm willing to drive just thinking if someone else from down here was heading up we could split gas and cut down on the number of vehicles.

Another resturant to think about is the small one in Hamilton. They were very receptive of WW and I when we were distributing flyers and had already heard about Occupy Skagit; tell them why you are up there. Also stop in to the tavern in Hamilton on your way back and have a pop. My sister in law runs the place. You could mention you know me but that might get your ass tossed. Stop in to the fishing shop right on the hyway in Concrete, Outdoor Adventures, buy something. When patronizing any of the businesses along the river, remember to mention the reason you are there. Every business we have stopped and talked to about Occupy Skagit and restoring the C&R season has been very supportive. Let them know we support them also.

Old Mill is a restaurant in Lyman on Hwy 20. Good breakfasts.
