anybody going to participate? i have never even been to the area so i'm wondering how viable it would be either fish from shore or a smallish rowboat with a motor. could be a fun weekend with my son.

Shore fishing on the Pend Oreille River for pike might be possible, but it would take a long time to identify where the pike may be since they are probably done with spawning and out of the deep sloughs. That being said, with a small boat and outboard you might want to be very careful on the river. Current flows are 70,000 cfs, if the runoff from Montana hits it could jump to well over 100,000 cfs. It's also a long way between boat accesses on the upper river.
