It's that time of year to drum up donations to help fund our annual 2 Fly Event. Our event is special, since we don't use the event itself as a fundraiser. To get into the other events, the volunteer/veteran team must go and find a sponsor to drum up the entry fee (I do believe alot of times they try to get the sponsors for the teams before hand). Our event here in the NW is solely a thank you to all who are participating. We try to get as many teams on the water without clobbering the Yakima. We're shooting for 24 teams (that's 24 vets, 24 volunteers, and 24 rowers) plus of course our in camp help. Thankfully, I buy all the food through a wholesaler, which cuts the cost dramatically. We use as many "on base" services as we can to cut down costs of shirts, hats, etc for the event.

If you've never heard of the 2 Fly, here's a quick rundown of what it is
    http://www.washingtonflyfishing.com...it-or-have-done-it-already-please-read.81610/

I do believe we have the 2nd oldest PHWFF 2 Fly event in the US. Only the original Rose River event is older. So lets make this one better then before.

Our goal is $3500. That will pay for food, lodging, and all the misc. expenses that come with this style of event.

There's two ways you can donate. Your donation will be tax deductible. I just need your real name and address with the donation (I'll submit an in kind donation form with your donation amount into the HQ of PHWFF). You can Paypal me at nwrfisherman@gmail.com or send me check (no cash please) made out to me

Thanks for all who've helped out over the year, and those who want to donate to this great cause. I'll keep a running total on here. The event is September 21st. We will be up there probably from either September 19/20 through 22nd.

If you're interested in being a rower judge, check out the rules for that on this thread and sign up here (if you haven't already)

Jerry, I will get my donation in the mail this week. You can count on me to volunteer wherever needed again this year.

I recently picked up a drift boat but have yet to even bring it out to learn the sticks. I don't know my summer schedule yet but I'd be willing to let someone else tow/row it there if I can't make it.

Would you consider flies? I would love to donate a dozen or two hand tied flies.

We could always use flies, but that's not included in the operating costs above.

Sure would like to see Jerry make the goal before the end of the month. For those of you who haven't served your country, nows your chance to help out those who have.

At this point we need rowers with boats. Have one extra empty boat now. If you think you can row your boat let me know when you're able to lock in. :)

At $150. Have til September to hit the goal.

Baring no major fires this year you can count on me for a boat (new raft this year) and room for two fisherman. I an also available for whatever here in Eburg. I look forward to this event every year.

We just hit $1000! Thank you. Almost 1/3 of the way there.

Matthew we fill those spots with vets in the program first. So i suggest you get your butt to one of the programs asap. ;)
