    There is something seriously wrong with that obese trout. It appears it needs to cut back on the McStoneflies.

    I'm glad he released it. In my opinion a fish like that deserves to live on. Although the hand up the gill is a no go in my book.

    Brutal handling, but I'm most interested in how a rainbow of that size got in the Clearwater. I know Dworshak has some big fish, although it would have to make it through the spillway/turbines somehow. Interesting....

    You'd be surprised how many people in this sport don't understand fish handling. With my job, I'd say almost half of the photos I get of released fish have guys holding them up by the gills. It's what happens when there is zero education requirement to purchase a fishing license.
