I'm new to tying but tie some at least 3-4 days per week and am improving. I would love to take part in a face-face swap with a couple patterns that I tie fairly well.

creating face to face community is the theme

tie 5 of your favorite flies
then tie 5 of your next favorite
for a total of 10 flies
you will swap someone for 5 of theirs
and somebody else 5 of theirs

    your in

not really and you can so everyone doesn't trade woolbuggers and royal coachmen....although from the looks of the last salon that might be a pretty good swap
only Larrys would likley be size 22s

    are you in ?

I'm game contingent on the yet to develop details. If we get enough tyers I'll bow out of the tying and just come for the socializing!

we will never have too many tiers as you are swapping two sets of 5 flies with 2 other people
as long as we have even numbers it can keep going
if we have odd numbers I am tying 2 more sets of 5 so we can keep going

so feel free to jump in or just come socialize

I am open to where we hold this
so everyone is open to suggest and come up with a place
I have a couple in mind but am still open
I will pick one in next day or so

Alright, count me in if the timing works. I like Friday nights and the idea of meeting in Seattle works for me.

By the time the swap hits, it will be dark by 4:30 so an afternoon/evening swap would allow people to fish all day before it.
