Where to buy latex balloons for indicators?

  1. For those of you that are using latex balloons where do you buy them? Is it just any latex water balloon? Are there any brands that are a little stronger than others?
  2. Party Central..
  3. Trojan is a solid name in latex. Stay away from the textured ones. Added weight lessen its sensitivity.

  6. Walgreens has big packages of water balloons. I don't use them for indicators, but I can't imagine you'd get through 500 in a while. Only like $5 too.
  7. 50% Card Shop
  8. What cast do you use when fishing with a balloon indicator?
  9. Safeway's party goods section has (or had) those little white, baseball-print balloons that a Missouri River guide put me onto.
  10. Any drug outlet, they are labelled " Trojan ".
  11. I have hundreds. Shoot me a PM, and I'll share.
  12. Hundreds of trojans? You must be REALLY active.:D:D

  15. When I was on the bighorn they said they bought special latex balloons, like 25 for 5, as they were more durable and less prone to accidental popping.
  16. My buddy uses the grenade water balloons and I loves them. I personally don't like using them but they are pretty covert
  17. If we're lucky someone might start marketing overpriced balloons to the fly fishing crowd!! $1 per balloon, they'll be all the rage.

  18. $1? We're talking fly fishing here brosef.... $3.99 minimum. They would also have to come out with a sick logo and awesome hastag. #balloonsarenotdead

  19. At 971 posts, you're old enough to know where this thread was heading. Latex is simply an aphrodisiac to WFF members. I've never used a balloon as an indicator... that's what Thingamabobber's are for... for Pete's sake.

  20. This was tried about 5 or 6 years ago, maybe they are still out there. It was a bag of around 10 balloons I believe with some rubber o-rings. Saw them in a few shops.
