I'm with John on this one. Clear the list. But since I love dreaming about gear here they are. Burkheimer 7127 and bougle; burky 8128 and hardy perfect , burky 9129 and a saracione , and winston 4 wt micro spey and able classic.
I'd keep fishing my Sage 7126 (DeathStar) and Evoke 10 reel. It's a kick on hot little 21" steel and grumpy-not-so-little-but-not-gigantic Kings. I'm in my two hander happy place.
I'd be fishing a Daiwa 12' 7/9 three piece rod with a delta 7/8 Multip. That's the rod I started with and it's just as good today as it was when I bought it. Actually it's a lot better today than when I bought because I figured out how to use it and the Delta is the key...my key that is. I really don't think rods have gotten much better, maybe lighter is better but I'm not even close to convinced.
I would continue to fish with my old "friends"; both the gear from my collection and long time fishing companions. My current collection of rods/reels/lines have served me well and I'm very comfortable continue fishing with them.
If the rod and reel I leave behind is my legacy then I have failed entirely and my life was a complete waste.
That aside if a last trip was called for and money no object I would collect up all my Umpqua fishing buddies, rent out babine norlakes lodge and I'd fish my orvis salmon(10for a 9) along with it's st john. Floating lines and lots of bombers
I'll go out with what I have. I don't need to be greedy... just wanna fish until the day I keel over.
Hopefully when that happens it won't be in a river face down but at least far enough so as not to add another log to the jam.
