Does anyone have any experience and insight in to the fishing opportunities in Zihuatanejo in the late fall? My family and I will be there over Thanksgiving, and I'll get to out fishing for a couple of days. I'm getting excited and am curious as to what would be the likely quarry that time of year.

Have 10 wt and 12 wt, will travel . . . offshore and inshore, I like 'em all.

Thanks for any insight you can share in to the fishery!! :thumb:

Richard – Nov. is a good month in Zihua. So much so that’s when the annual Tag & Release tournament is held. This year it’s Nov. 20 – 22. It’s a big draw and skippers are booked well in advance.

Blue water in Nov. usually brings billfish and Dorado close – often only five miles or so offshore. Jacks and roosters are usually good action inshore then.

For RELIABLE fly fishing info about Zihua do a Google on Ed Kunze Zihuatanejo. You’ll find lots of good resources that way.
