Hello Jim, I am from Montana and do nothing but dry fly fish and nymph for trout, I am going to school here at LCC. I saw your post about knowing where the trout are. Is there any way I could get some tips on some spots of where to go?

Plus, we like the same beer (saw it on your FB pic). I love Ninkasi (prefer the Total Domination)!

I sent you a friend request via FB.

    Thank you, jim!

Kent tells me you are helping modify the Fish Not Gold web site for mobile devices. Thank you so much! I completely agree with you that this issue is nonpartisan (Kent and I were laughing because I used to work for the Republican Congressman and he voted for McCain in 2008!) and the only way we will see reform is if we keep our heads level, and don't engage in name calling.

    Again, Jim, thank you.

Jim, sorry to hear about your stroke. My wife is 6 1/2 years post stroke; she started fishing again last year. She has only the use of one hand, so spin casting vs. fly-fishing, but she's back fishing, right? Here is a link to her blog:

Good luck to you in your recovery!

    Hey Jim:

I didn't want to post this on the forum thread...not knowing why you wanted to know about the boat. It had a quite nice Northwest Coast Native American design attached to it's bow. I seem to remember the hull was painted black. Usual Don Hill attributes, the boatman's seat was black thread, nicely stained wood, etc.

Thanks. I was curious as to whether it was one I used to own. Sounds like nope.

Actually yes I will. Unfortunately I have already volunteered to work overtime tomorrow so I won't be on the lake until about 3, however I plan to fish well into the evening. You taking the pontoon out this time?

Glad we got that fixed up. I've abandoned the .net 2.0 codebase that's currently online there and am rebuilding in .net 3.5 with a fully testable framework - all these little features like password reset and so on will be available. Sorry for the inconvenience and lack of attention to it man. Workin'/commutin' again. Cheers.

    Hi Jim,
I've been trying to log onto your Smartfishmap.com site, and apparently I forgot my password. I clicked on the password recovery link and nothing happens. Would you please send me a password reminder email? Or should I reregister?
    Thanks,
    Eric Raymond
