thread - MFC 8/0 sand
rib - tying thread
body - dubbing tan
shellback - .5mm foam tan
legs - partridge
wing/head - Congo Hair tan
antennae - mallard dyed woodduck
mash barb, start thread, wrap to bend; leave tag end long (for rib)
dub thread, dub body to point above point
taper a strip of foam (not quite gap width at widest point); tie in, letting tip extend gap width past bend
rib with tag end; tie off/trim
dub halfway to the hook eye
pull shellback forward/tie down
trim out center of partridge feather, tie in with fibers on either side; adjust length as necessary, tie off/trim
tie in a hank of CH
pull fibers up/back, set angle with thread wraps; trim even with legs
tie in antennae, tips even with shellback; trim
dub head
pull foam forward, tie off at head
trim foam, half hitch x 2, SHHAN
