I would say Chuck Norris but he doesn't Fly Fish, he Fly Catches, Because the word fishing implys the chance of failure and Chuck Norris NEVER fails!

Ran into a couple of the portland trail blazers fly-fishing a couple years back, forget his name but he was really tall and from one of those East block countries.

Me, of course...but since my dog died last year, I guess there's no one left who thinks I'm famous, so maybe I don't belong on the list.

I am, however, notorious in many circles, and even infamous in a few...

    Fish on...

Clearly I'm lagging on pop culture. I haven't heard of half of those names. And is there some reason why we would, or should, care? I only clicked on this thread to make sure I was listed.

I only think that its interesting because it shows that it is more of universal than sometimes thought.
It's cool to bump into a colleague or old friend and find out they have taken up fly fishing, its just as interesting to find out some of your favorite athletes or actors also particpate in a favorite hobby.

Also, Salmo, Ive met you and you don't really look old at all, buddy. But YOu've got to be older than OMJ to refer to these names as a part of pop culture?

    Sloan,

I'm a guy. I age well. Maybe I should have said pop culture, then and now?
