Flatwing Herrings

    Here is another one in chartreuse. I think it will work good.
    Tied up eight flatwings last night on four beers. When I started the ninth fly I broke my thread three times in a row. Time to quit for the evening.:)

    Hi Jeff,
    In the "Fly Tying Step By Step" forum there is a link to a Tightlines video on tying the single feather Flatwing. The tyer in the video is Joe Cordiero - the Master!
    Take a look at it. Also, Joe has a book available on Blurb (self published). The originator of the flatwing, Kenney Abrames, has a book too called "A Perfect Fish". The video will get you going. Once you learn the technique you can make them in any size, color combo etc.

    Killer Jack, that (and pink) will slay the silvers....nailed some on similar flat wings in the past...Nobody ties em like you do, nice!!!
