Well I use a cane to walk just about anyplace. I've had my wading staff for over 15 year but have only used it a few times. It always got in the way when casting or landing a fish. It has a lanyard on it but it's just something else to get in the way. I'm just a simple fly fisher. I think of ways to fish easier. A wading staff just didn't work.

I've got a wading staff coming and I'll just put a sharper point on it and make landing fish easier and a bit more sport.

Well Ed, I think he lost his ability to sound out big words.

I have a shoulder that talks to me all the time due to a slip while crossing a stream in the Yellowstone backcountry. It pains me but it also reminds me what a great time I had exploring that country.

My smarts. Why do you think I'm still living here in Montana. Nah, I like it here as it's quiet here and you can hear the birds sing out. You can't hear nothing in your state because of all the people and cars and trucks going nowhere.

There is a video someplace on the web, that shows an old angler with a walker going out into a stream. When he gets out a little ways he sits in the walker and begins casting. I love it.
I looked for it but could not locate it to post here.
