ok they look nice, but why are these so much better than other beads?
and do they really catch as many fish as real Salmon eggs ? I doubt that.

Bead fishing is illegal in Montana, because the Fish and Game interpret as "snagging" since the fish does not actually take the hook into its mouth and is often gets hooked in its body. This is ironic, because Troutbeads are made here.

FYI I weighed a 8mm glass bead and 8mm Troutbead on my powder scale. A Troutbead weighed 7.9 gn and the glass bead 20.1 gn.

Bro. They catch more fish than eggs with crack sprinkles on top. The key is in the better than real finishes, like lime green. You ever see a lime green egg? Me neither but tell that to the limit of chromers I dusted this morning. And as for scented beads, that's just lame and dirty. I am a purist and would never defile my fishing this way and besides I generally fish in selective or fly only water so it wouldn't even be legal. Tried to get my grandpa to try the bead today but he only swings with an old bamboo rod, I guess you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him rope chromers.

Holy shit, what I wouldn't have given to have that about 25 years ago at Blue Creek. No doubt would have gotten shot, but that first sweep and all those priceless WTF expressions might have been worth it :D

Not to judge you, but in case you didn't know, a pegged bead is not considered a fly , so in the fly only waters it can get you in trouble. The bead must be attached to the hook. Again I am not judging you,as I too have used beads. This summer on the upper kalama there were tickets issused over the use of pegged beads in the fly only water. When the mid section went to fly only this fall. People were also talked to for the use of pegged beads.

I only wish that this thread was started on January 1st of this year, so that we could have a whole year of goodness - alas, it may be too late for "Thread Of The Year" nomination. Unless I get a second..

Or is it possible that our minds become too muddled with the complex that we fail to just have fun with the simple things in life. Maybe it actually takes a truly ingenious mind to find amusement in the small things. Just saying if you can't have fun catching fish or allowing others to have fun catching fish regardless of the method maybe others are not the minds you should be judging.
