Has anyone fished Lake Wilderness in Kent? If so, do you have any recommendations? (flies, etc.)
Actually its in Maple Valley. Its best to fish it either early in the morning, or in the evening as the sun starts to go down. I've had good luck with black wooley buggers fished deep on a sinking line, and elk hair caddis on the surface. Try the area to the right of the swim area. Good luck.
Will I be able to cast/wade from the shore or will I need to bring a float tube?
A floattube would be best. Wilderness gets pretty weedy in the summer time, and helps if you can get out past the weeds more in the middle of the lake, but you might try walking to the East side of the lake (I think its the eastside). There's alot of sunken logs and trees on the side where the bigger trout sometimes lie. You should be able to fly fish from the bank in some of those spots.
